However, if you want a high quality comfortable office or studio that may be tax-deductible as a home office, and which will enhance your property, select a Work Pod.

What About Permits?

REGULATIONS

Before starting, you should check whether or not there are any restrictions on building on your site and whether or not you will need any permits. You will also need to determine the setbacks from your property lines. You can do this yourself by checking your council and state guidelines. Make sure you're aware of the setbacks, size of outbuilding allowed and type of occupancy.

What foundations do I need?

SOLID EVEN GROUND OR PIERS

You sit the WORK PODS on solid even ground, however if you have a sloping site then concrete piers would be a better option. Work with your installer to understand the best options open to you.

What heating & cooling options are available?

INSULATION, AIRCON

The Pods come with 75mm insulation in the roof, walls and floor to provide cooling and heating for the Australian climes. An aircon or heat pump can be added post installation.

How do I get electricity to my Pod?

TO CONNECT OR NOT TO CONNECT

We provide a number of add-on options here.
1) No cost - you run extension from the house to the Pod
2) Minimal cost - we add a waterproof through hole for the extension
3) Minimal cost - We add an outdoor electrical plug to plug your extension into with additional plugs in the walls and or lighting
4) Some cost - We provide an electrical board you can have an electrician run a hard wire to which will then service wall plugs and or lighting
